Dr. Jennifer Dunatov is a bioethicist living and working in Southern California. She founded No Trauma Mama® in 2017 after learning as a new mother about the global epidemic of preventable birth trauma in clinical practice. She believes when people experience empowered, ethical and respectful births, it can be transformative for mothers, families, and entire communities.
Jennifer runs a mastermind for visionary justice-driven women focused on improving birth and maternal care, and offers online and in-person courses for birth professionals committed to personal and systemic transformation.
Jennifer has a doctorate in Health Care Ethics from Duquesne University and has served in clinical, corporate and academic roles for 15+ years. She regularly provides ethics education and formation experiences for providers and executives in hospitals and health care systems throughout the country. Her passion of working in relationship with others to address ethical issues in health care delivery has taken her from the beautiful south island of New Zealand to Switzerland and many places in between.
Jennifer runs most days on matcha lattes and a good podcast. She enjoys writing, gardening, and hanging at the beach with her husband and 3 kids.
